Editor’s Choice: In Detail

Detail photography lies on the border between whole objects and macro. It shows small objects at normal size, or sections of larger scenes and objects. Sometimes it captures just the structure of a surface, or an interesting detail. Sometimes it’s part of a larger view of an open landscape. Good detail photos are great on their own, and some also superbly supplement a set of photos showing a scene overall.
