Editor’s Choice: So Much Right!

There are so many brilliant photos on the Zonerama galleries. We’ve picked freely from among them for today’s selection, a smorgasbord of things gone right—sometimes in one aspect of a photo, sometimes in the whole thing. Let’s take a look at things going right!

We appreciate how the photographer captured the moment and captured these sheep in “pairs” along with their shepherd. Our only regret is that the image lacks a sky, leaving it feeling “unfinished.” Author: Jcgraas

Great composition. The boat is floating into the photo’s center, and the boatman’s gaze is leading you there too. The only mistake we’d note is a mild slant—but that can be fixed in an instant. Author: BassVac

A very nice photograph! The tuft of grass in the foreground gives it the depth it needs. All we would add to the photo is a little more contrast. Author: kaiko nguyen

An utterly perfect photograph that gets everything right. Composition, technical quality, and above all atmosphere. Superb. Author: John Healey

I’ve been taking pictures since 2004. When I was starting out, I photographed almost everything. Later my style solidified and I began photographing people almost exclusively. At the moment my main genres are fashion and advertising.
