Staged photos are a staple of photo albums. And while we don’t usually think about it, even an ordinary portrait is staged in a way. But for today’s Editor’s Choice, we’ve picked photos on Zonerama with that tasty extra bit of fakeness.
The technical aspect of this glamour/fashion shot was handled perfectly. And the model is in a very intriguing environment. We also appreciate the model’s expression, although her pose could be toned down a bit.
This photo is a fresh take on a classic topic: “together but separate.” Meanwhile, it was solidly lighted and solidly taken. We especially appreciate the work with daylight and how the author has squeezed the maximum out of that light. Also worth mention is the excellent and subtle post-processing.
An photographic experiment in an interesting environment. We most appreciate the work with emotions, but we also like the composition—especially how the copies of the subject interact.
