Landscape photography often makes use of the so-called “golden hour.” That is, the time of day just after the sun rises, and just before it sets. This time of day is very good for photography, because the low-lying sun offers photographers long shadows and, from them, a strong sense of space. Also, landscapes drenched in golden color have extra atmosphere.
