Sometimes I go to the lake or into the woods, sit down, and after a while, get pictures of precisely what I came for. However, this was not the case with this particular photograph. My legs still ache when I look at it now, several months later. Here's the story of how this photo of a Crested Tit came to be.

Alpine lakes are magical. They are surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes and have crystal-clear surfaces that reflect the landscape or the sky. I am drawn to water and one of my many trips led me to a pair of lakes in Giglachsee, where I had to research my surroundings before doing any photography.

It’s usually not possible to shoot waterfalls from behind, but when an opportunity presents itself, but it’s taking advantage of an opportunity if it presents itself. Even if it means waiting for the right moment. This is the story of how exactly this type of photo came to be.

This church is one of my favorites. I have driven past it many times and had hoped to one day get a shot of it above the fog. Even when the weather was on my side, the story of how this photo came to be was filled with more challenges than I’d anticipated.

Still, my planning was not enough, and I had to make up for some imperfections with editing in post-production.
