How to Fix Crooked Photos

Sometimes your pictures can end up with a tilted horizon or oddly-leaning objects that are supposed to be standing straight up. But don’t despair—you don’t have to delete photos like these. Just straighten them in a photo editor.

I’ve been taking pictures since 2004. When I was starting out, I photographed almost everything. Later my style solidified and I began photographing people almost exclusively. At the moment my main genres are fashion and advertising.

  1. I only recently purchased ZPS and it would be difficult to approach all its features tutorials like this. I particularly like the advice about when – and when not to – use certain features (like the perspective tool).

    1. Hi Phids, thank you for your comment. If you need any advice, don’t hesitate to contact our technical support at support@zoner.com. We’ll be happy to help you.

  2. I have a request for the editors at Zoner. When I originally wrote my comment to this article last summer, it was in response to a different article (see how this current article is dated about nine month after the date of my comment). I presume that an article on photo straightening in an older version of ZPS was overwritten in favor of an article on this topic using ZPS X, which is why the dates are now mixed up.

The problem is that I have ZPS 17 and don’t have plans on upgrading. One of the nice things about ZPS (dare I say one of the reasons I bought it) was because of the helpful tutorials on this site. I really hope that the tutorials for older versions of ZPS are preserved and not overwritten. I realize that there must be a desire to get people on board ZPS X, but those of us who are still with the older versions may want to continue studying the older articles on this site.

    1. Hello Phids, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, we can’t promise you the old tutorials won’t be overwritten. We want to have as fresh content as possible, so our current customers and users are not confused with the tutorials for the older versions. We understand your concern, but we also want to bring the best service possible for users of ZPS X. Thank you for your understanding.
