Matej Liska

I most love taking pictures of people. Weddings, portraits, graduation photos, balls... I am always in search of backlight, but I enjoy various types of lighting and mostly like to use shorter lenses. I love my Nikon, my guitar, and a kebab. You’ll find my photography on my website or on Facebook.

Metadata Tokens

Explaining the terms metadata and tokens to someone who’s never encountered them can be tricky. The Zoner Photo Studio X Fall 2022 Update simplifies working with metadata. You may have previously encountered format strings, a function formerly found in many locations in ZPS X. Format strings were complicated codes that we have now fit into clear cells, called tokens, to make working with them more intuitive. Most importantly, you don’t have to be a computer programmer to set them up.

Native Support for RAW Formats in ZPS X

There are many advantages to working with RAW photos. RAW image formats are essential for high-quality output. The main advantage is that the file contains a large amount of image data for colors and dynamics range, so it can handle bolder photo editing. However, this also means certain challenges for photo editing software. With the Fall 2022 Update, ZPS X brings its own color interface that runs in the program’s background delivering true-to-life colors to your photographs.

How to Run Zoner Photo Studio on Mac

Zoner Photo Studio X is developed for the Windows operating system only. However, from time to time, users ask if we are developing a version for macOS. The answer to this question is: not yet. However, there are a few options for using ZPS X on Apple computers.

6 great ways to deal with dark photos

Every now and then a photo just doesn’t look how you want. Underexposure is one frequent problem – maybe you were rushed and didn’t have time to adjust the camera, maybe you used automatic exposure when shooting against the light. One way or the other, now you’ve got a dark photo. But luckily you’ve also got Zoner Photo Studio X to fix it!

How to Replace a Dull Sky

It’s happened to the best of us. You’re somewhere amazing and you want to be sure you beautifully document everything, but the weather is not in your favor. While the subject of your photograph itself may be fascinating, the sky is boring. In most cases, you can use the gradient filter and similar tools to fix it. But there are some situations where no matter what you do, the sky is not how you want it and you have to try something else. You have one last resort– replace the sky with a different one.

How to Sharpen Out of Focus Photos

The right amount of sharpness is crucial to all photography. Not every photo can be pin sharp, and sometimes it’s best to get rid of an outright blurry photo. Sharpness can be affected by factors such as lens parameters. As long as the image isn’t completely blurry, it can be sharpened with editing in post-production. This is a skill that will always be useful.
